Last month, BKS Iyengar, founder of Iyengar Yoga, passed away - at age 95 - after a life dedicated to teaching others the method he invented. As I read remembrances about him, I was reminded of the struggles and outright rejection he faced attempting to bring yoga to the West. Yet, Mr. Iyengar persisted despite a difficult and challenging childhood.
